Licensing
Business Licenses
Blank forms are available at the Department of Community & Economic Development, Business Licensing Section, P.O. Box 110806, Juneau, AK 99811-0806; Phone: (907) 465-2550. The license is valid for 2 years. There is further information on various licenses in the Starting Your Small Business booklet created by the state.

Biennial Reports

Fee:

Biennial report cost is $100 for domestic corporations. If filed after February 1st, the tax and fee is $137.50.

Due Dates:

The biennial report must be filed by January 2nd of the filing year, and every two years thereafter. It is delinquent if not filed before February 1st.

Corporation Tax Return

Tax:
|
Tax rates are graduated from 1% to 9.4% in increments of $10,000 of taxable income. The 9.4% maximum rate applies to taxable income of $90,000 and over.

Due Dates:

Tax payment is due on or before the 15th day of the third month from the close of the tax year, or March 15th for calendar year filing. Tax returns are due within 30 days of the due date of the federal income tax return (note that 30 days may of may not be the 15th day of the following month).
